Our Gorgeous Papers
All of our print mediums are considered ‘Fine Art’, essentially meaning they are professional level, acid-free and of archival quality. We currently offer 2 Papers and 3 Cotton Rags.
The main difference between the 2 mediums are as follows;
Archival quality is the number one benefit of printing on cotton rags. Cotton is superior in both strength and durability to wood pulp-based paper.
Cotton Rags absorb ink better, thus appearing richer in colour compared to other papers and retains their natural colour.
Cotton Rags are typically heavier and feel more like a premium product.
Finally please note that all Matt Fine Art papers can scuff easily especially on darker areas of prints, be very very mindful of this when handling your prints. On rare occasions, those with textured surfaces are also liable to slight imperfections due to the ‘texture’ coming off. We try to mitigate this by always brushing the paper pre-printing, but this is a quirk of textured papers.
